Yes, Kate is definitely going out on a limb here. I am training to run the Dallas Half Marathon on November 7,2004. I have been so blessed with two amazing, healthy daughters and felt like this was a great opportunity to give a little something back to those who haven't been as fortunate. I am raising funds to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have joined TEAM IN TRAINING(TNT) to help me on this journey. Though I am raising funds for the LLS, I am running in memory of my grandmother, Alberta Ivan, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer. Cancer, in any form, affects the lives of so many. Our TNT team have designated "Honored Heroes" that we are supporting. They include 2 little boys,4 year old Landry Hoskins and 5 year old Duncan Neus. We are also supporting Kathrin Huber and Ron Smith.I would be honored to include as many names of anyone you would like me to run in honor, or in memory of, as I bring them on this journey with me. I promise to stick with the training and work towards achieving the goal of crossing that finish line for those long 13.1 miles, but I need your support to get me to the $2000.00 goal I need to raise for this great cause.
